Make DIY wall art with your home printer

Turn a favorite photo or illustration into affordable wall art using ordinary A4 or Letter sheets. Preview the joins and finished size before using ink.

Start making your poster

Choose an image that survives enlargement

Start from the original photo rather than a social-media thumbnail. For a 60 cm wide print, about 3543 source pixels across gives 150 DPI; 7087 pixels gives 300 DPI before any processing limit. This tool caps the working image at 4096 pixels on its longest edge and shows the effective resolution, so inspect that indicator rather than relying only on the uploaded file size.

Decide whether to hide or show the grid

For a continuous image, keep overlap and trim one repeated edge at each join. If you prefer separated sheets as an intentional mosaic, preview the paper borders first and allow extra wall space between sheets. Our default dimensions describe the continuous artwork, excluding decorative gaps.

Check color and placement with a sample

Print one tile using the same paper and quality setting you will use for the full poster. View it in the room’s lighting. Place the assembled image on a flat backing if loose pages curl; leave trimming until the neighboring artwork is aligned.

Help & FAQ

Does this make small images sharper?

No. Enlargement does not recover missing detail. Reduce the physical size or choose a higher-resolution source when the DPI warning appears.

Can I print the library animals as wall art?

Yes. The original designs are free for personal and classroom printing. Check each detail page for its source and usage notes.
